The reason why I am studying Japanese is really simple: I like Japanese Anime and pop music! Being a fan of 三森すずこ pushes me to learn more about the language itself (I know it sounds childish, but it is true).
Moreover, I want to learn more about Japanese culture after a trip to Japan at the beginning of 2018. My friend and I fell in love with Sapporo - food, snow and beautiful scenery there. I am also interested in reading Matsuo Basho's Haiku and I think it would be nice if I could read in original Japanese!
The class is challenging, though, because of the fact that we have quizzes every day and we have to memorize the vocabulary. It's also interesting to see the similarities between Japanese and Chinese, although we are learning Japanese in English. I am looking forward to learning more in the future:)
